Visa Requirements: Visitors may obtain a visa at any Jordanian embassy or consulate abroad. You can also obtain a visa upon arrival at Amman, Queen Alia International Airport or at any other border crossing except King Hussein Bridge and the ferryboat from Egypt. Visa fee is approximately $15.00 and must be paid in Jordanian Dinars. Visas are valid for two weeks but can be extended at any police station. A departure tax of approximately $7.00 is payable at the airport or boarder upon leaving the country.
Vaccinations: No vaccinations are required for entry into Jordan. However, we recommend that you take a preventive shot for tetanus.
Climate: Mediterranean climate for pleasurable year-round travel. Sunny & warm dry weather most of the year. Summers are hot but pleasant and are cool during the evenings. Springtime brings optimal weather, lush with greenery. Autumn is mild and pleasant. Rain falls between November and March but rarely lasts more than a few days at a time.
